Social Study-flaws of autobiography Essay
Social Study-flaws of autobiography Assignment
- In studying the “flaws of autobiography”, what do you think would be your flaws if you were to write your own autobiography? What would they be about?
If I was to write my own autobiography it would have very many flaws. This is because I would not really want people to see the hidden parts of my life, such as my painful moments and experiences. One of the major things I would live out of the autobiography is the part of my life that I wished no one will ever find out such as some failures in my career. I would mold my autobiography in such a way that it portrays only the parts of my life that I am proud of. The autobiography will include some imaginations which are to make it interesting to the readers. The imaginations may be about how hard I worked to be successful in my career and also about my high level of determination (Lehrer, 2008). Documenting only the better part of my life will make me feel in control of my destiny and also of what people know about me. It will also instill a positive attitude among the people who know me because they will only have a positive image about me in their mind.
- What do you think about the therapeutic process and telling our stories? Is therapy effective regarding a client telling their story? Why or why not?
I think the therapeutic process and telling our stories can be an effective tool. This is because the clients feel in control of what other people know about them. It may also play a major role in making people have a positive attitude about themselves even when their life is in chaos. Therapy is very effective because when clients tell their story it becomes true to them than how it was initially in their memory (BethWLehman, 2017). Telling their story also makes them have a reason to carry on because they feel in control of their destiny. Therapists also give a stamp of approval by validating the stories and this makes it easier for the clients to process whatever is happening to their lives................GET A PLAGIARISM FREE COPY
